In April 2018, Ana started a brief internship at Hand in Hand International along with her studies, and was assigned a seat right across from the Head of Fundraising, Joe. After keeping it strictly professional for four months, they both kept in touch in the traditional intern-to-employee way, LinkedIn. Then in January 2019, after one of them double-messaged on LinkedIn to solidify a meet up (a date? a meeting?), Ana and Joe met up with the intention to play mini golf in Oxford Circus. The golf required pre-booking and had a long waiting time, but it didn’t matter, the night turned into drinks and dinner. Two weeks later, we went to Lisbon. Two months after, Kenya. Countless trips, five jobs, three apartments, a global pandemic and one engagement ring later, we’re getting married and would love to share the moment with you all. |
